Education

Vicente de los Ríos is a Senior Telecommunications Engineer from the UPM: University Politécnica de Madrid and an Executive MBA from the IE Business School.

Professional Experience

He has worked for more than 25 years in the field of telecommunications, specifically in Telefónica, where he held different responsibilities: Director of International Voice Development, participating in the creation of Telefonica International Wholesale Services (TIWS), Director of Information Services and Directories of Telefónica in Spain (White Pages, 11818, 11822) where he led its transformation after the liberalization of the 1003 service, Director of the Online Channel of Telefónica in Spain (www.movistar.es) where he was responsible for its transformation, including the integration of fixed and mobile businesses, the change of the brand to Movistar and the launching of attention in social media. In Valencia, as Director of the Gran Público de Telefónica in the Valencian Community, Murcia and the Balearic Islands, he managed the business during a key stage of the Spanish market such as the launch of Fusion, optical fiber and 4G, directing and transforming sales and service operations of stores and call centers. In his last stage of work at Telefónica as Global Director of Digital Channels, he led the transformation project in the 17 countries where Telefónica is found. He was also the Administration Advisor of the online travel agency Rumbo, a leader in the Spanish market.

Transformation, Digitalization and Leadership Expert

After leaving Telefonica, he created a consulting company named “Líderes y Digitales” of which he is CEO. This company carries out digital advisory services for companies (Ooredoo Omán, GSS, Indizen), business development for companies specializing in digital products (Indigitall, HoopTap, Guudjob) and mainly in digital mentoring of managers. He is also a lecturer on topics related to digital transformation and leadership (Aena, EdP, Axesor, Única y PITA, Creative Mornings).

He is currently in charge of the Digital Transformation Programs at the School of Industrial Organization (EOI: Escuela de Organización Industrial, in Madrid and Seville).

He joined Huete&co to contribute his experience in digitalization and leadership. Due to his experience, he is an individual who is used to the demands of high complexity business management in a very competitive environment, with extensive experience in the transformation processes, and with ample knowledge of the new demands that digitalization brings.
