Selva graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from Middlesex University. The Master’s Thesis was on “European Real Estate Investment Matrix” sponsored by Prudential Financial Inc, assisted by SDA Bocconi Milan.

To further his professional development, he gained a number of professional qualifications and memberships including becoming an associate, and then a fellow in 2005 of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He attained associate member status with the Chartered Management Institute in 2000 and became an Associate Member of the Institute of Management Consultancy in 2005.

Selva was awarded an honorary doctorate from University of Bolton in summer 2019.

In 2016 Selva undertook the Essentials of Leadership Programme at London Business School and the Disruptive and Sustainable Innovation course (led by Prof Clayton Christensen) at Harvard Business School. In autumn 2019 he attended the Leading Change and Organisational Renewal course at Stanford.

Academic Affiliations

Selva is currently a member of the Association of MBAs and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.

He is also a Leader with the Institute of Sales Management as of 2016.
